2024 Sundt Family Reunion: A Visual Story of Our Family

Greetings Beloved Sundt Family,

Dear Family,

We are excited to gather this June in Denver!  It is going to be a team effort for sure, and we are hoping for a great turnout!   Big thanks to Sharon Campbell for all of her help in securing the hotel and helping to think through all of the Q and A!

We have reserved the Embassy Suites in downtown Denver at a rate of $229 per night, plus hotel tax and fees.  The ES offered two things other hotels did not:  a free breakfast and an indoor pool!  The hotel has good reviews, and the staff has been very responsive to our needs thus far.

The itinerary is: 

Friday – Golf

Saturday – Family Dinner

Sunday - Brunch

We will be providing more details in the early spring to include ideas for short excursions!

We have blocked ten rooms for Thursday, June 27, and 40 rooms for Friday night, and 40 rooms for Saturday night.  The hotel will also honor the rate for additional days as long as there is hotel availability.  We have also arranged for a Sunday brunch that with taxes and fees will be $26.50 per person.  It is a limited hot meal, but we did not want to organize a brunch that would be $50 a person.  We understand the economy is challenging right now, and we want to do our best to keep the cost down.

We have not committed to a Saturday dinner, but we are working on our options.  The cheapest the hotel could do for a seated dinner was going to be $85 per adult, and we felt that was too high.  There are several options near the hotel that offer large group meals, so we are investigating the possibilities. 

When you open the link, you will notice at the top of the reservation page on the far right, there is a hot link to edit your stay.  The system will automatically reserve your stay for Friday and Saturday night.  If your plan is different, for example if you plan to come Thursday, you will need to click the edit stay button to add Thursday night.  Let me know if you have any difficulty!  Much love, hope to see you in June!

The hotel does offer valet parking at a discounted rate of $42 per night, there is also metered parking on the streets, and some surrounding lots, but the lots won't offer in/out privileges.

GOLF

For the golf tournament, Jackie is hoping we can get a reservation at one of the public golf courses, She is currently looking at reviews for different courses!

Finally, Jackie has been in touch with the Chamber of Commerce and Sharon Campbell has been researching a tourist site specific to Denver.   Again, we will be sharing excursion ideas in the early spring.  I have reached out to a friend who is a professional photographer who lives in Denver about taking our family pictures and ideas for time and location that will be convenient to the Saturday dinner.
